Next to You

All I wanted was a night out.

 

Not to storm out of a bad date.
Not to end the night crying in my car.
And definitely NOT to end up stuck in a snowbank halfway down a mountain road with no cell service, no dignity, and one rapidly cooling bag of takeout.

 

But the universe, apparently, had other plans.

 

Because the next thing I knew, Spencer Cassidy—yes, that Spencer Cassidy, the boy I’d secretly adored since childhood, pulled up in a fire-engine red tow truck and was tapping on my window like some kind of small-town, broad-shouldered rescue fantasy.

 

Now we’re trapped together in a remote cabin with one bed, no power, and a whole lot of memories I thought I’d buried. He’s warm, ridiculously kind, and somehow even more irresistible than he used to be.

 

And me? I’m trying not to fall harder than I already have—because the last thing I need is to get snowed in with a man who doesn’t know he’s holding my whole heart.

But maybe he’s about to find out.
